The concept of visual communication is described in a very understandable manner in this post. Visual communication assists individuals to exchange information in the form of pictures, symbols and layout rather than the mere use of words. The pictures are able to convey the ideas fast and can also give the audience powerful emotions. I concur that there are two senses of visual messages: the literal meaning which is what we perceive and the symbolic meaning whose meaning and thought are enclosed in the picture. People can communicate better when they combine pictures and words since it makes the communication easier to understand. Altogether, visual communication nowadays is a significant method of communicating messages in media, advertising, and the social media.
